30 Years!!!

Last night I went to a surprise party for Steve and Edith to celebrate their 30th anniversary. This is hard to believe but their daughters were able to keep Edith (who always knows what's going on) from finding out - she was completely surprised! Anyway, it is so great they reached this milestone. They are such a perfect couple. It's no surprise, as they are a match made in Heaven. I have known Edith (my friend Margie's youngest sister) since she was 9. Edith has always been confident, focused and in control. Steve is 2 years older than her. They began dating in his senior year of High School and the rest is history. They married just shy of his graduation from AUM in 1978. He never got his diploma, but did get a good job with the US Dept. of Agriculture and has worked his way up the ladder there. They have always attended the same church and lived here in Montgomery. They have two beautiful daughters (the oldest is execting a boy in August and the youngest is getting her Master's at Auburn). They have been true to each other and their path has never waivered. They are great people and I am so happy for them.
