Busy, busy, busy

Doesn’t seem like it has been a month since I posted but it has! We have been busy the last few weeks. 1. fourth of July-took Isabella to Auburn & she spent the night with us 2. saw the new Harry Potter movie 3. Harlie spent the night with us & Talya did a bib for Bella 4. monogrammed apron for Morning 5. got a new chair from World Market

6. Braves game, World of Coke and Houston’s 7. can’t remember any thing else We kept Isabella on the 3rd and took her for her first visit to Auburn. We had such a good time – she was so good for us. We showed her all the sights in Auburn and took her picture at the sign in front of Samford Hall. We ate at Chuck’s (YUM), went to only two bookstores and then to Kirkland’s. We tried to see Betty & Jim, but Betty wasn’t doing well, so we didn’t go by there. They have never seen Isabella in person, just photos.

Jimmy and I went to see Harry Potter the Sunday after it came out on Wed. I was kind of disappointed in it. I guess I had built it up so much in my mind that I was a little let down. It’s been so long since I read book 6, but I think I was disappointed in the book too.

Morning is one of the ladies who stays with T. (yes, her first name is Morning.) she is the best cook and everyday she cooks enough supper for T, me, Jimmy, herself, her husband and my mom! It has been so wonderful for her to do this and she says it helps her out too, since she doesn’t have to cook again when she gets home. Mother wanted to do something for her to thank her and Morning said she would like an apron. So I found a pretty green one at Wal-Mart (of course) and monogrammed her name on it in lavender. It turned out so pretty(but hard to see here). Mother also gave her a gift card.

Friday night Talya, Harlie and Bella came over to bring Harlie to spend the night with Nana and Papa. While she was there, Talya appliquéd a bib for Bella. I really like the design. We have one for Harlie that says Big Sister, in the same font. We also bathed Bella in our kitchen sink – wish we had taken a picture of that! I have one of Talya in Mother’s kitchen sink when mother lived on Bowling Green. Harlie did good staying with us and we took her to see the goats that reside just up Redland Road. She loved feeding them. We took about 50 photos. Later we went to Wal-Mart and ran other errands. Several weeks ago we found this chair at World Market on sale. Pottery Barn had one similar to this several years ago, and I loved it! (this was a LOT cheaper than PB, too!) I plan to recover the cushion. On the 17th, Jimmy & I went to Atlanta with our friend Mondene. The Braves were retiring Greg Maddox’s number and Mondene and Jimmy wanted to see that. Earlier in the day we ate lunch at Houston’s (food is so wonderful) and toured the World of Coke (not so wonderful). The game was fun and the Braves won, so all was good. We got home about 1:00 am and were tired the rest of the weekend. sad to say, but this was the best photo we had of us! Doesn't look like it, but we had a really good time! :)
