See her sweet shoes...
Just before opening up their goodies.
One of Harlie's was the DVD Toy Story 2. Well the EB brought her Toy Story 1 at her house, so she gave Izzy TS2 because she thought "she already had that movie." We explained the difference in the two movies and she took it out of Izzy's basket!
Isabella LOVED this toy!! I am so glad Talya told me she didn't have one of these...always good to get them something they will want and like.
Uncle Gary & Aunt Tina were able to come. Since they can't be here for her birthday party, they brought Izzy her gift today. She enjoyed opening up her goodies. They were so sweet to her!!A Minnie Mouse blankie, some onesies, some baby food containers, a purse and so much more!
Checking out the eggs before they are hidden outside!
Harlie hunted eggs for herself and for Izzy - she divided them equally in their baskets. Such a sweet Big Sister!!!
The crowd letting her know when she was "hot" (close) or "cold" (away) hunting those eggs. She was a little confused about what they were talking about!! (Silly Daddy!)
Jarrett decided to be silly like Michael!
After the plastic eggs were hunted, the real fun began - tossing raw eggs to each other! Yes, you are right, this family is weird like that!
Not sure who got Pam in this one - Jarrett and Michael ganged up on her!!! Imagine that! She is such a good sport & I know she gave as good as she got!!!
I think this was a successful catch.
(Don't you love our neighbors junk in their back yard - practically right at our side of the fence!!! Drives me crazy!)
Michael teaching Harlie the finer touches of raw egg tossing. We don't have a photo of it but she flung those eggs with all her might!!! :)
Before the egg hunting and tossing, we enjoyed a wonderful meal with Jim, John, Pam, Jarrett, Mother, Ellen, Larry, Talya, Michael, Harlie, Isabella, Gary and Tina.
Our menu was:
Honey Baked Ham
Sweet Potato Casserole
Tiny English Peas
Green Bean Casserole
Deviled Eggs
Yellow Rice & Corn Casserole
Potato Salad
Hawaiian Rolls
Iced Tea & Drinks
(some people had wine)
(And it was all so yummy!!!)
We are so thankful we can get together with our families for fellowship making great memories. As usual, T and Betty were missed so much, but they were in our hearts for sure. Chippo had to work - 250 reservations at the hotel restaurant, so he could not get off. We missed him too - he is the best egg tosser among us! ;)
I didn't get to witness any of the egg hunting or tossing because Jim, John and I were looking at the main air conditioning unit and they were telling me it wasn't working! Well we knew that, cause the house was 85 degrees with 4 floor fans and every ceiling fan in the house on! They did try to see if they could fix it, but alas I stayed home from work on Monday waiting for the repair man to come. The metal tubing carrying the Freon into the unit had a hole in it and it was completely empty of Freon. I never knew Freon was just as expensive as gold - we need to invest in that stuff!!! Oh well, the house was cool again Monday afternoon. & we'll be ready for Isabella's First Birthday Party on the 10th!!!
