Beach Trip

In April we went to Sea Spray in Ft. Walton for a long weekend. Talya and her family were able to join us and we had the best time sharing a condo and enjoying the beautiful beach and pretty weather and great food with them !!
The girls loved digging in the sand and filling up their buckets!

Isabella had never been to the beach before and it was fun to watch her reactions to the sand and the ocean waves. She finally got used to walking on the sand and really had a good time!

Michael buried his legs in the sand and Harlie wanted to be buried too of course!

The Sea Spray has a very large pool and on this weekend we just about had it to ourselves. Harlie loved the pool almost as much as the beach! Her mom and dad and Papa played with her for hours!!!

Isabella cruised around in her float and had a great time! She was a lot happier in the pool than on the sandy beach!

More pooltime with her Papa!

Isabella dressed to go out to dinner!
Doesn't she look adorable in her smocked flip flops dress & big orange bow?

After we finished eating, the girls sat with Nana for some loving!

Harlie in front of the Back Porch sign. We all enjoyed our meal - I think this is the best seafood restaurant in the area. We sent this photo to Pop by phone so he would be jealous - mean of us, I know!
The next day was overcast and spotty with light showers. All around the South there were tornadoes and wind damage and flooding.
We were thankful we only got some rain and a little wind.

Michael had promised Harlie they would go looking for crabs on the beach during the night. The rains finally quit long enough for them to go that night. You can see from her face she wasn't too sure about all this. (It was very late and she was really tired by then!)

This is what they caught!! Gross - so glad I didn't go with them!!!
Michael was so proud of his catch!

Playing with Papa in the condo.
The Sea Spray is very family oriented with each condo having a full kitchen, dining area, and optional grill rental. There is also a laundry room within the complex. Lots of Snow Birds own these and it's obvious they live here during the winter months. The complex is shaped like a U and is on the beach side. It is an older place but the amenities are great and the other guests are usually families (no rowdy teens or college students here!) Within the U is a huge grass area with all the units opening onto this. (see below) They have a Clubhouse, the huge pool, a sauna room, shuffle board courts - just a great place for families.
here is a pic from their website

Just before we all loaded up and headed home.
Hopefully we can all go back later this summer!
