What a Great Day!!

Today (12/11) is Jimmy's birthday - he is now older than me again! Yea, i like being younger than him. I got him 2 movies - Christmas Vacation (with extra commentary and trivia) and The Dark Knight, a new flashlight that will work with AA, C or D batteries and a Garmin GPS device. I think he was pleased - i sure hope so. We watched the Christmas movie after supper at The Ox Yoke (his choice for his Birthday meal). He got a free dessert - peanut butter pie, YUM! i got one too cause we had to wait so long for our food. More good stuff - Talya got her grade today for her final class...she made a C and she is now through with college!!!!!!!!!!! She is so excited (Jimmy and I are too)! No more classes, no more books, no more teachers dirty looks - school's out forever! Boy, she is amazing - 6 1/2 years of college (mostly night classes), working full-time, being a wife and a mother and pregnant with another one on the way. I barely graduated and all I had to do was go to class and study. She is such a smart young woman and I am so proud of her. She is the only grandchild on her father's side to graduate from college - the other 2 quit after a year - they were married with kids too but didn't work. Talya was determined to graduate and now she will. She has to wait until May 2009, as she didn't sign up for graduation for Dec. She wasn't in class when the deadline came, her class was a mini-semester, so she wasn't on campus until mid Oct. Doesn't matter - she made it and she is GREAT!!!
