Jimmy and I were asked to help host an engagement party for Barry and Pam's daughter, Lindsey and her fiance, Aaron. The party was on January 30th. One of the hostesses was able to book the clubhouse at a very nice new neighborhood in east Montgomery. The clubhouse was so nice and cozy (we felt like we were in someone's home). There was a huge fireplace with a roaring fire going (it was freezing and damp that night!) And outside, there was another huge fireplace for people to enjoy. (see below)
About 60 people attended and I think the bride and groom and their parents were happy with the outcome. We had some great food - shrimp & grits, mini twiced-baked potatoes, chicken fingers, stuffed mushrooms, red grapes with cheese, roast beef mini sandwiches, spinach dip with fritos and various cupcakes. We also served iced tea, water, wine and beer. Nobody went home hungry!!!
