We have been busy!

Saturday, Talya and Harlie came to visit and we had such a good time!
First, we went to the Wetumpka Mardi Gras Parade-the first one ever.
We all enjoyed it so much-Harlie got lots of beads and candy thanks to Talya: Afterwards Talya, Harlie and I went to Beth's Heirlooms to purchase some fabric for Harlie and Isabella. We found some really cute fabric - the stores in Montgomery sure can't match the selection that's at Beth's. Talya and i finally had a full day to devote to embroidery. We did 2 burp cloths for Isabella, monogrammed a purchased burp cloth, a shirt for Harlie and a hand towel for Talya's home. Here are the photos:

Talya sewed this fabric {from Beth's} on a cloth diaper, then we embroidered her name in the font Sunny, from Monogram Wizard. I thought it looked really cute - loved all the fabric we got. and there was tons we didn't buy. We will just have to make several more trips!

This is the ready made burp cloth Talya found that matches a bib she found for Isabella.
This was my favorite of the day - the appliqued initial with fabric from Beth's. So cute! The shirt for Harlie, a lolliepop applique using fabric from Beth's. Hard to see in this photo - Talya will add a bow just under the circle.

And finally the hand towel:
We had so much fun actually monogramming things at last! The fonts used on the towel and the premade bib were from Monogram Wizard. The applique g and the lollypop came from Embroidery Boutique.
