Miss Dixie goes to the Beauty Shop

I finally took Dixie over to Petsmart in East Chase to be bathed/groomed. They were very busy there today. This was our first visit so i didn't know how long it would take for them to wash, blow dry and roll her hair. Also they were trimming her nails, but no polish this time. Because of the crowd, it took over 1 1/2 hours. Cost was only $16.99, which I thought was great. I think she will be getting her hair done there again. I was able to shop at Target and Linens & Things while waiting on her. Found great 600 thread count sheets for our bed for $16 a piece. They are a solid color - kind of a light rust. 100% cotton and shiny. Then at lnt, I got a 'super comforter set' for a good price. Was 79.99 marked down to 69.99 and then the ever present 20% coupon. So it was around $62 for the set. the pattern is vertical stripes of 4"wide solids sewn together. Then pieces are sewn over in varying colors of thread at varying widths. the colors are brown, taupey-gold, creamy gold and rust. the very same shade of rust from Target which i bought before I ever saw the comforter. the set has a straight bedskirt in the taupey shade, two euro chams in the same color, two king pillow shams in the stripes to match the comforter and two accent pillows - one square and one a neckroll size. I have decided i really like it. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something we may get tired of soon. I will post a photo later when the bedskirt has been ironed and put on the bed and euro pillows are bought and in their shams. The fabric is satiny and elegant without being too brashy/trashy. Jimmy really liked everything. Yea! I am still having pain from the diverticulitis. I have taken my three antibiotics and can now get back to taking my histoplasmosis meds. These last few days , I have felt pretty puny - kinda achy and tired. My stomach has really been upset - a side effect of all 3 of the antibiotics, diverticulitis and the meds for histo. Gary tells us that Tina is also suffering from a bout with diverticulitis. Often she has to be hospitalized with hers. Hope she won't this time. She stayed off work the whole week because the pain was so bad. Hope she is better real soon. Betty had her right shoulder scoped on Thursday. She is experiencing healing pain and discomfort. she will have to do rehab on it soon. I know Jim is taking good care of her.
