Monday, Monday

Wow, this weekend went by way too fast. I didn't get to hardly any chores on my list. Saturday we took both vehicles to have oil changes and lights replaced - headlight for me and brake light for him. I am so happy to have two headlights - difficult to drive on Redland Road (which has no street lights for most of the way to our house). You can't use your brights caus there seems to be a car coming in the opposite direction constantly. It is a very busy road and the county needs to make it 3, if not 4 lanes. There is much building of neighborhoods on this long road and traffic is fast becoming an issue. Also, many deer in this area, so have to be watchful for them.

Yesterday was our neice's birthday. She sure doesn't look her age (46). She is a beautiful person outside and inside. Her Mom and Dad hosted everyone at their house. Good times.

Talya and Harlie didn't get to attend - Talya still had a bad headache from Saturday. I hope she was able to rest and medicate herself to help get over it.

I was able to crochet a row & 1/2 on the afghan. Dixie likes to sit in my lap, covered by the afghan while I work on it. Sometimes this is too warm for me and we have to get up, walk around to cool off. It is 32 degrees this morning, I think we will have cooler weather for a few days. ( according to The Weather Channel) So maybe I will get more rows done this week.

Also got groceries Sat. for mother-in-law and us. Made brunswick stew in the crockpot. Got my mom's groceries Sun. and picked up stuff for us we forgot to get Sat. I always forget something! I hate to grocery shop!
