A puzzle and a ripple

I work puzzles every night when I get in bed. JR thinks that is weird. But it helps me relax, clear my mind of work and worries and I think puzzles are fun. Now, don't get me wrong. These are not difficult puzzles - I'm trying to relax, remember. When I figure one out, it makes me feel good about myself. (Yeah, I know, it is pretty silly). But hey, I am not a very smart person - I take my victories where I find them. Anyway, last night I found this in my puzzle book:
Finally, some knitting content! :)
Speaking of knitting, did you see Grey's last night? New show - Yea! George's mom was knitting baby clothes for Bailey's son Tuck. It was sweet to see her finding comfort in her knitting - she had just found out the truth about George and Cally's marriage & she was so upset at the news. (She had brought them lots of hand knitted baby outfits, as she thought the couple was trying to get pregnant.) Great show last night!
Now for a photo of the Soft Waves Ripple afghan I have been crocheting off and on for almost a year. Most of the work has been done while Mama or JR was in the hospital. The pattern is Soft Waves from the book 200 Ripple Stitch Patterns by Jan Eaton. Each pattern has both knit and crochet instructions. So far, this is the only pattern I have done, but there are many pretty ones in the book I want to try. Maybe I'll knit the next afghan. The yarns I'm using are Sugar 'n Cream, Peaches & Cream and Lion Brand Cotton. All are 100% cotton. I have chosen the next color to use based on the last color completed. I really am enjoying doing this project. (Inspiration was found at http://www.yarnstorm.blogs.com/ and http://www.rosylittlethings.typepad.com/ .) Check them out - both are great blogs!
